PAIR Academic Ambassador Programme

The Pakistan Academy of International Relations (PAIR) is establishing a nationwide network of PAIR Academic Ambassadors to engage talented and motivated undergraduate students in research, academic activities, intellectual discourse, and knowledge-sharing.

The programme is designed to create a meaningful link between PAIR and universities across Pakistan, while providing undergraduate students with an opportunity to develop their academic, research, leadership, communication, and professional skills.

A PAIR Academic Ambassador will serve as a student-level academic liaison between PAIR and their department/university, helping to promote academic engagement, research opportunities, seminars, conferences, internships, publications, and other intellectual activities.

Who Can Become a PAIR Academic Ambassador?

The programme is open to students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme at a recognized university or higher education institution in Pakistan.

For each eligible ongoing batch/cohort of a departmental Bachelor’s degree programme, PAIR may select:

  • One Male Academic Ambassador
  • One Female Academic Ambassador

Where multiple batches/cohorts of the same or different Bachelor’s degree programmes are simultaneously in progress, each eligible batch/cohort may have its own pair of PAIR Academic Ambassadors.

Applicants should:

Selection Process

PAIR Academic Ambassadors will be selected through a transparent process based on a combination of academic performance, research interest, leadership potential, communication skills, extracurricular engagement, and commitment to academic and intellectual activities.

Depending on the number of applicants, PAIR may consider:

  • Academic record

The final selection will be made by PAIR based on the suitability of the applicant for the role.

Tenure of an Academic Ambassador

An Ambassador’s position may cease upon:

  • Completion of the Bachelor’s degree;
  • Withdrawal or discontinuation from the degree programme;
